New Faces, New Places

Everett Library welcomes new students and old friends with a host of improvements to help you through the coming academic year. First, let’s start with our newly improved Mezzanine Area, with large open spaces and additional seating for group projects. In our virtual space, we have added two new databases: American History and Life and SportDiscus for sports and sports medicine . We have a new library catalog to help you search for material in the library, manage your account, and tag those items you think might be useful to others. Watch Everett Notes for further improvements in your library experience.

Me in my favorite on-campus space: A Quiet Zone in the Everett Library. See why I need so much space?

Built in 1960, the Everett Library at Queens University of Charlotte is a beautiful building with an inviting courtyard area in front and multiple areas for reading, studying and collaborating inside. “Everett Library is named in honor of Herschel H. and Cornelia Nesbit Everett. Mr. Everett was a dynamic leader and philanthropist, both in Charlotte and on the Queens University of Charlotte Campus.  He served as Chairman of the Board of Trustees for Queens from 1952-1967 and Acting President of the College in 1953-1954” (“queens.edu,” 2012) .Whenever I am early for my evening graduate classes, I go to the library to do some research or review in preparation for class. New content and interface coming for Points of View database

EBSCO has added 61 new topics to Points of View Reference Center, bringing the total number of topics in the product to 343. All topics include four essays (an overview, point, counterpoint, and Guide to Critical Analysis) written by subject experts. This summer, EBSCO will unveil a new user interface for Points of View Reference Center featuring an updated landing page and improved navigation.
